Step 1: Access Disk Management

On your Windows 10 PC, go to the bottom left corner where you'll see the Windows icon key. Right-click on it and select the 'Disk Management' option. This will display all the information about your current disk partitions.

Step 2: Choose the Correct Drive

If your screen displays a healthy EFI system partition or a recovery partition, make sure not to make changes to these. Instead, choose the C drive or the drive with a higher volume.

Step 3: Shrink Volume

Right-click on the chosen drive and click on 'Shrink Volume'. This process may take some time. Once done, you'll see the options for the total size before shrink in MB and the size of available shrink space in MB.

Step 4: Enter the Amount to Shrink

Enter the amount to shrink the space. For example, to make it 10 GB, you would enter 10,000 MB. After entering the desired amount, click on 'Shrink'.

Step 5: Create New Simple Volume

You'll now see an unallocated space of 9.77 GB. Right-click on it and click on 'New Simple Volume'. Follow the prompts, leaving the options as default, and assign the following drive letter.

Step 6: Format the New Partition

In the file system, leave the option as it is. If you have a FAT32, it is recommended to go with NTFS. Leave the rest as default and click on 'Next', then 'Finish'.

Step 7: Finalize the New Partition

Click on 'Format Disk', then 'Start'. Click on 'OK' to complete the format. Close the window, open File Explorer, and click on 'This PC'. You should now see your new volume, which means the new partition has been successfully created.
